After walk in a charming streets of Piccadilly Circus, Convent Garden, seen all the glamour shops of Oxford street, Harrods.
Yeap I loved this city!
Even those I could not say a phrase in English without say:” How can I say....”
Yes I was on my way home thinking about central London, laughing about myself , looking at all those people in black suits, and all the blond girls dressing in a very funny way , the ladies dressed all in black covering their faces, everything was so different , I could not be more happy and excited .
I was like child starring at everybody and everything not in bad way, I was just curious about this new multicultural which London have.
So when I got in Colindale, in Grahame Park ..........
Oh my God what was that??
It was a part of London which was not in post card. Grahame Park, located on the site of the old Hendon Aerodrome in North West London, is a north London suburb in the London Borough of Barnet, including 1,777 homes built in the 1970s.
Their was not any glamour the typical characteristic of the estate was plain, square, brick-style terraced houses, also known as "block" style, and long winding low-rise flats, with flat roofs. Most building names, walkways and roads on the estate have names linked to the aviation history of the site. There residents can find few small shops, bakery, GP, library Community hall and one pub and one green park which became my favourite place in the whole complex.
Although the estate is popular with many early residents, significant problems arose due to the concentration of vulnerable and disadvantaged people, and because of the estate’s design which isolates it from the surrounding areas.
Keeping open mind but walking with my suitcase trough the blocks of flats, I start having seconds thought about living there, the only things was crossing my mind was: I came all the way from Brazil to live in a COAB (council houses).
Grahame Park is perfect example of neglected people, teenager hanging around with their dogs, young girls with their babies people with all sorts of issues.
In that community I meet people from around the world South Americans , Arabic, Indians , Pakistanis, Africans , Polish, Portuguese and English people.
People with different believes, Christians, Muslins , Indus, and so on.
I lived in Grahame Park for almost two years, in this time I maked inumeros friends actually very good friends
I got many lesson from there and one of those was that, If you walk straight in your life and mind your business nobody messy with you and you will do make friends
Don’t you ever believe in everything you read in the news, don’t Judy people and places without know then because it can may surprise you.
And no matter which country you are, always is gonna have a bad area and good area it's up to up to make the most of both
